I knew Mackenzie was only trying to rile Jensen up. He really needed that one last push from her, though poor Jared getting groped needlessly is still really demeaning for him. Sure, they don't allow rape and unjust punishments, but he's still just a slave there to serve Jensen or whoever else needs him. Joshua coming to Jared surprised me though. You can tell that the sibling relationship between the Ackles (though there is very little interaction thus far) is one of love. I feel so much for Jared though, him missing Meghan yet unable to do a thing about it.

The ending of this chapter... my heart still hurts and I'm still mad at Jensen because he's really screwed himself and Jared over. Jared's now scared of anything sexual, but I can still hope for them mending this? Gah, I need more!!! hahaha Your writing is incredible bb. This story should be shared everywhere!

Thank you *blushes* Yep, casual cruelty is the way I think of it - when the wrong act is so ingrained that it is normal/unnoticed to the persons doing it. As for mending, I am always hopeful with J2.

And now that Jensen's grief and rage have burned through both he and Jared what do we have?

It will be interesting to see where this goes next. Jensen has to earn back Jared's trust and what does presenting to Court really entail? And what will Morgan get up to and what if Jared ever fell into Morgan's hands?

Poor Jared's pain and humiliation just went on and on.
It seems from things Captain Beaver said to Jensen and Joshua's attitude that the royal family may have a different outlook on slavery than the general population.

Intriguing that this is what drove Jensen to hurt himself.
