wrapped up in books
I did my book shopping last night! Yay! Thank goodness I did, too, because I got home and my computer acted funky yet AGAIN, cutting me off from the delicious teat of the internet. Oh, how I can't wait for the brother to get his new computer so I can have his hand-me-down ... *yearns*
Anyway, yesterday swmbo and I were talking about the awesome advent of trade paperbacks and how much ass they kick. They're like the perfect compromise between a hardcover and a mass-market paperback, and my steadily worsening eyesight appreciates the larger font. ;) Plus, there's something so lovely about trade paperbacks -- the weight of the book, the thinness of the paper, the way you can set the book in your lap and the pages will all flop just right, so you can read without even lifting a finger. My love for trade paperbacks is so deep that I've even started working on replacing my mass-markets with trades. What? They're NICE.
