Yup - a friend of ours brings his hookah to parties (He's arabic). VERY nifty. Cool smoke, lovely scent.

I envy you your persian harem decor! I love the things I've seen at West Elm, and other places - but I fear all the fringe, sparklies, and baubles that trim them would end up as obstructions in my doggie's tummies. It's not an unwarrented fear, considering how we've had 2 abdominal dog surgeries!

And I'm fortunate in that my dog's not a chewer -- she tears up her toys, and she'll snatch up food you leave in her reach, but she won't gnaw on the furniture. Though I think that even if she did, I would probably find it cute. DAMN HER WILES! ;)
