I'm Heeeeere!
I'm in Kansas City at my bro's. I've got a job interview tomorrow. I'm not really ready for it, which is a shame considering the job sounds pretty cool...I'm just a little frustrated, I guess, which eventually makes me put forth less effort (Bad Anne!)...that, and I decided to stay up REEEAAAALLY late last night to finish some laundry that's been sitting around for a week and a half...and consequently, I'm tired, which also makes me very apathetic...meh...
This post really has no point, other than the fact that I am on the internet and I want to prove that I am not dead, just lazy. Well, and updates are few and far between when you don't have regular internet service over the summer...
So I guess a Top 10 is in order to describe the highs/lows of my summer...
The good stuff, In no particular order:
#1 Snakes in a Porta Potty...the world's shortest movie...Samuel L. Jackson goes to relieve himself on set one day. Enters the porta potty. Intermittent screams and banging noises. Door slowly creaks open and a poisonous snake slithers away...
#2 The Taste of Chicago is HOTTTTT!! Go on the first day or you will probably die in the process, either from the heat or from the stampeding crowds.
#3 I committed grand theft potty! Nothing quite like trespassing to use a porta potty on the other side of the Metra tracks...
#4 I saw Kelly Clarkson and Rooney live in concert! w00t!!
#5 Janelle and Miguel's wedding was wonderful, beautiful. So glad I got to share their day!
#6 I got to hang out in Valpo all summer.
#7 There were still things on a stick at the county fair! Yay!
#8 Talledaga Nights was everything I hoped it would be, and Clerks II surpassed my wildest dreams...
#9 I met Meg Cabot, my favorite author of all time!
#10 My graduation party was great, albeit short, and I got to take Jon home (for the 2nd time) and my parents still love him... ;-)
The bad:
#1 My brother's getting a divorce, after only a year and half of marriage. Shit went down around my graduation. I didn't even know about it until June, but I figured something was up when my sister-in-law wasn't present for my graduation ceremony. My brother's pretty broken up about it; it took him completely by surprise. Please keep him in your prayers...
#2 Midgets ruined my first serious job interview. I'm not even kidding. I go to Milwaukee for the first time in my life; the company even flies me there and puts me up for the night. Amazing, right? The only thing anybody forgot to warn me about was the Little People convention at the Hilton...and the fact that my visit coincided with Summerfest...so Little People + alcohol at Summerfest = drunken midget orgy in the hallway, which wakes me up at 2:17 a.m. the night before my big interview. &^%@*#$!!! The next time I see Wee Man, I'm going to kick him in the head...
#3 Still don't have a freakin' job! Keep your fingers crossed for tomorrow.
#4 I miss all my Valpo peeps!! I'm so far away, and it just sucks and that's just life.
#5 It rained on my birthday...wah!!
#6 I miss Jon! :-(
#7 My dad is not feeling well (gastrointestinal schtuff) and the doctors haven't determined what the problem is.
#8 I'm having trouble coming up with anything else...
#9 Still nothing...
#10 Okay, I guess the summer wasn't all bad... ;-)
Time for food...the internet is the devil...it makes me forget to do normal things like eat and go to the bathroom...
