Friday = my last day of student teaching.
It was bittersweet. It signifies the end of me being in college. I finally have a degree! I accomplished student teaching when I wasnt even sure what I was going to do with my life. Now I know. I had a great student teaching experience. I will miss my 5th graders so much. We had a party and had cake and they made me 3 class books of good-bye letters. I got a beautiful bouquet of flowers from 2 students and a really nice pen from my teacher. All the teachers signed a card and had really nice things to say about me. My teacher told me that I was his best student teacher yet. His wife said I always went beyond the call of duty and helped out a lot. I am going to miss it. Of course, now it is time to find a job where I can finally make some money :) Afterschool, I drove home for the last time. What will I do come Monday?
My parents took me to Best Buy to look for a laptop. They are buying me one for graduation!!!! I'll let you know which one I get. Friday night I went to Embers to watch the band play. There were hardly any people there. It wasnt very fun. I went with Nikkie. Tiff started working there Friday. Lesa was there and I talked to her a lot. Angie is in Chicago this weekend. It was hard hanging out with Nikkie afer I know what I know about her.
Saturday was nice. I didnt do much during the day. My family and I and Katie's boyfriend Mark all went to Applebees for dinner to celebrate me finishing student teaching. MMM it was good. Then Katie and I drove up to Ypsi for Jamie's birthday party. I didnt drink at all since I had to drive home, but I had a good time. We played a game called Apples to Apples and it was really fun. It was a nice change to hang out with different people who dont just care about what they look like and who is at the bar. Jaclyn had us all over her apartment and she had some good snacks and a really cute butterfly cake! I hope Jamie had a nice birthday party. I thought it was a good time. Nick and I talked and made dumb jokes as usual.
Today I'm going to go hang out with Nicky. It is such a nice day outside. We might go for a walk or get some ice cream like last week? I'm not sure. For dinner we are BBQ'ing though :)
