i like granola and i'm not from the north-west, so don't judge me, people.
i will know it's Spring for sure when i start substituting my morning cup of coffee for iced coffee. it's not that time yet. i also really enjoy wearing flip-flops and denim skirts, which isn't at all related to coffee, but it is related to the weather.
last night i went to see a screening of Dig! it's a documentary about the Dandy Warhols and the Brian Jonestown Massacre. i've never seen so many smelly hipsters at a movie screening before, and let me tell you, on of them was sitting right next to me and i would've left the screening and been RID of the nasty B.O. if the movie wasn't so damn GOOD. i am a moderate fan of the dandys and bjm. i own a number of their albums and dig (ha!) their music, but this really has peaked my interest in them, especially bjm. why? because ANTON IS FASCINATING. there's nothing i like more than a crazy, genius musician and here is a living, walking, talking specism. yes, i've heard the psychotic stories of mr. anton, but holy cow, seeing it is believing it. even though is he a complete psycho asshole, i still feel for the guy. the way the film followed the two bands through seven years, from the beginning of their supposed "music revolution" to the paths they inevitably took, was very well done. i'd see it again.
