i think i had enough social activity to last me all weekend last night. after work, i went out with my coworkers at this really nasty bar that played dolly parton and john denver (yay!). it was one of those places that just smells like old, stale beer; it was an instance in which smoking in bars would be helpful, beacuse -- certainly -- cigarette smoke smells better than ass. after that, i cabbed it over to watch Ambulance play their set and i swooned with each movement benji made (more about him later). THEN, i cabbed it again to BOOGALOO to join nadia watch DIRTY RAINBOW play. it seriously took me about 15 minutes to get a stupid taxi. finally, a nice off-duty taxi driver stopped for me, because he was going my way anyway and suspected that i needed a ride over the bridge. THANK YOU, KIND TAXI DRIVER MAN!
so, i finally made it to boogaloo, although i don't know how that place makes money without having a sign out front! the only reason i saw the place was because, nadia saw me standing outside and came and got me. dirty rainbow took the stage (floor?) around 11:15 and proceeded to rock the place. the highlight of the show was watching jeremy bend over to adjust the settings on his amp and revealing his buttcrack. TEEHEE. people started boogaloo-ing on the last song! it was like dance fever had infected the place... well, at least infected about 7 people. some guy tried to get me to boogaloo, and i placated him my shimmying for about 10 seconds until i sat my ass back down. anyway, A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!
as i was stating before, this boy benji in the band Ambulance is the cutest boy i have ever seen. i guess he grew up in L.A. and went to school with one of the kids that got molested my michael jackson. and the kid ended-up getting plastic surgery so he wouldn't be recognized. ??!? that's some intense shit, people.
