One step closer...

May 14, 2011 05:08

I finally made myself a FFN account. This does not mean that I am close to posting my fics, but it does mean that I am one step closer to doing so. It also means that I need to start posting reviews to my favorite fics, as I no longer have an excuse not to do so.
As a side note, I hate my FFN profile. It's lame, but I had no idea what to write.

Yay, you have an account! That's pretty cool! I have an account, too (and i don't have much in profile either) - what's your penname?
I'm sure it will be a push in the right direction to make you keep on writing and (hopefully) publishing something soon (even if your stories are far from finished). You know, you could start with a short one-shot - just to see what people will think of your ideas and writing.

My penname is Annie85. So, it's the same as my account at Twilighted.
Ugh, I actually suck at one-shots. I've tried them before and they always ended up longer than I intended. I bet if I tried to do a single drabble it'd end up a page long! I'll keep trying though, and the first thing I get posted there, I'll link from my journal.
Speaking of fanfic, how's yours coming?

Cool, i will look out for you.
My story is coming off good i guess - i still need much time to finish the chapters, but i'm trying to write reguarily. I've already posted 8 chapters and am working on the 9th chap right now. I'm not even half through the story yet, but i'm faithful i won't abandon it until it's complete.

That's good. I hate when authors get a good story going and then drop it and never update again.
If you ever get it translated to English, let me know, 'cause I really want to read it.
Will you write any more Twilight fanfics after this?

I hate that, too, that's why i try to be not like them since i know myself how frustrating it is when your favorite story never gets finished.
I really want ot translate it, but i probably won't be able until the story's finished - i didn't have the time and patience so far. So it will still take much time.
I'm really not sure yet. It will depend whether i'll have the time and inspiration to write more. I do have a rough idea for a sequal to my current story, but i won't give it any thought until i've really completted the story. One step at a time :D

I can wait. A lot of my favorite authors seem to be taking longer and longer between updates - weeks or even months, in some cases - while I'll be sitting here thinking 'Ah, no! Update NOW! I need to know what's happening!'
Once you've translated it, I'll probably added you to my favorite author's list and the story to my favorite stories list by the end of the first chapter!
Ooh, a sequel! If it seems like it needs to be continued, and there's enough of a plot to get it going, then by all means, do it. We certainly need all the good Jake/Nessie fics we can get.
