A Question and a Fic Change
For my fellow fanfic writers/readers, what is a pairing that you love that you never would have guessed that you'd ship together?
For me it's LJ Summers Bella and Embry. I rarely ship non-canon pairings, but this one is too good not to love! I don't know if she's on fanfiction.net, but you can find her on Twilighted.
I'm currently rewriting one of my many fics that I have in progress (too many to name!). It was a Leah/OMC fic, but now it's a fic with two original characters, and it's a crossover to boot! Here's a brief tidbit if anyone's interested: It's been nearly a decade since Sadie Black imprinted on Alex Marcus-Whitley, who is now nearly sixteen years old, and Sadie is beginning to realize that he feels as strongly for her as she does for him…which is starting to become a problem as his parents don't know about the bond between the two, although his grandfathers do. Not wanting to cause problems in Alex’s already strained relationship with his parents, Sadie begins to realize that maybe it would be better for the teen if she weren’t in his life, even if it means hurting them both.
I think I'm gonna like writing Alex and Sadie as much as their original versions (Gus and Leah). Because of certain circumstances, Alex has to deal with a lot more secrets than Gus. His best friend/girlfriend turns into a wolf, nearly her whole family is made up of immortals, while he's also got to deal with being a fairly normal (from the outside, at least) teenager. Plus, he's hiding this big secret from his family, about what REALLY happened to his grandfather and his grandfather's partner more than thirty years earlier.
I haven't had to do too much to change it from the original story, except for switching some names, but it's still early stages, so...
Basically, I know where I'm going with this, it's just that the hard part is piecing it together. I wish I was one of those authors who could churn out chapter after chapter all in order, but I can't. So it'll probably be awhile before this or any of my other stories will be anywhere online. Sorry.
