My first orchid! And an upcoming birthday!
Random fact about me: I love plants immensely, especially pretty and or/edible ones, and orchids are high on the list of plants I love. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when my grandmother presented me with an orchid as a gift for helping her. I've been wanting one for quite awhile now, but I'm generally broke and my dad wouldn't buy me one, because he was adamant that they were too hard to care for. I guess I'll find out! Oh, and it's a Phalaenopsis Orchid, in case any of you were wondering. The flowers are supposed to be fuchsia and white striped, but they look more purple to me, almost violet-colored.
My birthday is coming up in a few weeks, so I have to figure out what I want and put my wishlist up. I'm hoping I can get the Breaking Dawn DVD for my birthday from my family. I'm quite anxious to see it, since everyone else seems to have already seen it by now.
That reminds me - Lindsey (niki1988), I need to upload your requests. I would've done it a long time ago, but it seems like it's been one thing after another since the holidays. I'll see if I can get everything uploaded by Monday, at the latest, barring any problems.
I've been working on one of my fanfics, due to the spark of creativity Tracy's (ladymanson's) latest wallpaper ignited (she made me a Seth/Anna wallpaper; Anna is an OC in one of my fics). I'm hoping it lasts quite a while and I can get a significant amount of work done. I really want to start uploading my own fanfics, either on fanfiction.net or Twilighted or wherever by the end of the year at the latest, and I need to really crack down and get some work done if I plan on accomplishing that.
