I was just thinking how thrilled I am that we're getting a fifth season (as you do), and how happy the people on the show must be that they got early renewal, when I had this heart-stopping thought: this year Kripke has more time to plan the season finale knowing he's coming back.

Yep! That was about the first thought I had after "YAY!"

AFAIK, Season 1's ending the Show wasn't confirmed but there was positive buzz, Season 2 Kripke was pretty sure they wouldn't get renewed, Season 3 was an early renewal. Taking that as a gauge... Yeah, we're screwed this hiatus. And right now the thought fills me with great glee. Because I'm kinda sick like that. :-)

D= Don't remind me! I can't even begin to imagine where they'll leave us, but Kripke is a true master when it comes to cliffhangers.

Also, I share your fic troubles, I'm trying to get the sequels to Blood and Fire and Not What It Looks Like finished, but my muse seems to think it's far more fun to throw plot bunnies at me and see if any stick. Not to mention my original fic and non-fiction work..... *sigh* I'm getting there though!

It's a good thing it's only fanfic... if it was my actual job... *shudders* I guess I see why so many writers are smokers and/or heavy drinkers ;-D
