Cactus painting progress step 8
And... here's the yucky stage of my cactus painting where I just do a quick watery under-painting. In acrylics. On this particular painting, I'm going to paint it from corner to corner to minimize dragging my wrist through freshly painted surfaces. I'll post my progress. Comments welcome! It is also welcome to hear from you urging me on since I'm a master procrastinator :)

Phrase o' the day:
"a sinking feeling"
I can think of a lot of ways to paint that phrase. If you like clever illustrations, as in magazine articles and graphic novel illustrations, your mind is already forming images. Okay, now here's my progress on the cactus bloom. It looks a mess right now, but hopefully it will take shape soon.
