Paris Hilton drives me up the wall and so does that stupid Carl's Jr. commercial... GRR!
Has anyone wondered at all where I've been lately? Does anyone even really notice?
Well, life has been busy! H-E-C-T-I-C! Um... last weekend we went camping, it being Memorial Day and all. We left Friday afternoon & came back Monday afternoon. We went to Calaveras Big Trees, and there were around 50 of us in all. It was lots of good times... games, campfires, pictures, hikes, small towns, a flea market, s'mores, more games, more campfires... well, you get the drift.
Other than that, life has just been life. Nothing particularly stellar to mention, really. Work is work, crazy kids and whatnot. The seniors officially graduated from youth group, we moved the 8th graders up to 9th grade, and pretty soon the new little 6th graders come in. Jonathan & I are still working on getting our place all set up. We've now obtained both the TV stand & bookshelf we were after, so -almost- everything is unpacked and/or at least has a place to go, very soon.
Oh! There is one exciting thing I should include... I am going to be a maid of honor in August! And it's for my dear Stefanie, old roomie & soon-to-be sister-in-law! How fun is that! :) And heck, I've never even been a regular ol' bridesmaid... I just get to skip that step and move straight to the top, haha! Anyhoot, back down to Earth...
Last night we went to Tim & Candyce's wedding up in Woodland. It was cute & fun, it was at the Historic Hotel, which was nice, the set-up was a little odd, but fun nonetheless. The desserts were yummy, and dancing with Katy, Melanie, Lara, Susan, Taylor, Micah, Amy, Sara, Lindsey, and whoever else was lots of calorie-burning fun! My poor lil' husband was ll tuckered out though, and basically fell asleep right when we got home. Aww.
Yeah, so today some b@$t@rd hit our car at the mall. It had to be at the mall, since that is the only place we were parked today, other than in front of his parents' house, and it wasn't there. I am so pissed about it, too, since they dented & scratched the rear driver's side fender and the side of the car, the paint is chipped/chipping, and they didn't even have the courtesy to leave a note. Of course not, their insurance would go up. People annoy me sometimes.
Right now I am at Carrie's (Jonathan's sister) house, using her internet. He was here, too, but he left with Joe to go see the Supertones' very last show. Too bad he didn't have the camera with me. Oh well... I am trying to get some business squared away, i.e. re-setting up all of our Online BillPay since we finally combined bank accounts and I closed my old one, which is where all the billing accounts -were- set up previously. It's a hassle, but it's necessary.
I'm done rambling. So what's new with life? I feel so disconnected from you all, but there's not alot I can do. I didn't want to completely abandon LJ, so all I can do for the time being is to check in sporadically, whenever I do get the chance. Which is not very often, unfortunately. Please, keep me posted. I did read my most recent friends' page, but since that only gets me 40 entries, I am still out of the loop with some/most of you. So answer me this: what is the best thing that has happened to you in the last 1-2 weeks? What is the worst thing? What is one funny/unique/quirky/unusual thing that has happened? And finally, did you truly read this whole entry?
I am honestly curious to see how many people answer those questions... :)
