last night at around 9:15, carrie and i were sitting on the couch, both pretty bored. we were trying to think of something fun to do, and then came up with an awesome idea. drive to winstar. so we got excited and started running around the house screaming when i remembered that i lost my ID. several months ago. and i'm scared to try to get a new one because i have an unpaid ticket in eastland, texas....and i dont exactly know what happens when you try to renew your license and you potentially have a warrant for your arrest. and i'm too broke to pay it. so. ultimate disappoint '07.

sooooo we call a bunch of bingo places in the surrounding areas (we were willing to drive as far as fort worth) to see if we could go play somewhere, but they were all closed.

in conclusion: we went to the gas station and got a bunch of scratch-offs. i won 3 dollars.

awkward. i came here to type a fresh, new, funky, hip, edgy journal entry, and it prompted me to recover a saved draft, so i said yes, and all that ramblin' up there popped up. i think i typed that all and then deleted it. i can see why. ps i got a new license.

i found out tonight that my background check went through (wasnt sure how that assault ticket was going to look) and I HAVE A NEW JOB. clinical pathology laboratories. booyall. monday through thursday with the occasional friday. 5pm to 9-10pm. i caaan't wait to have money again.

carrie and i went to denton waterworks yesterday. the small "water park" on 288 and sherman. we somehow spent around 4 or 5 hours there. there are 4 slides, all of which can be reached by climbing a single ladder; a small, gently flowing extremely lazy river; and a kid's lagoon area that looks a billion times more fun than the rest of the park. we were the only people above the age of 20 who weren't there with small children. i went to the park once last year, and had a scary experience with the taller steep slide. you know the kind im talking about...that drops you down really fast? well. last time i was pretty sure i almost fell out at the end of the slide - when you're sliding completely horizontally to slow you down. i made carrie go first this time, so i could regain my confidence. it went smoothly. so i slid down...and in that narrow, steep little slide, i somehow managed to flip over and conclude my journey face down. my butt is sore and i have multiple bruises. SO NOW YOU ARE WARNED.
