Annie was making a list, and while she was checking it twice (and a third time, and a fourth...) it had less to do with any naughty or nice reasons and more to do with the fact that she had signed up to be someone's big sister, and only being here for a couple months, she was missing some information. Therefore she was writing out all the things

Sam had been at a Council meeting all day and those tended to put him in new and interesting moods each time he got out of them. It was probably a good thing he hadn't signed up to be anyone's big sibling.

He was basically wandering the halls for lack of anything better to do when he spied Annie inside on of the rooms, looking hard at work.

"Getting a head start on homework?" he asked, suppressing a yawn and leaning against her door frame.

"Nope!" she said, maybe a little too energetically. "I'm figuring out just what my little sibling might have to have explained to them and how to explain it without traumatizing them. I do not want to be the bad big sibling my first time out."

Sam half smiled at her dedication and determination. "Have you mentioned not dying? That's one that we got pounded into our heads pretty good last term. I am firmly in the not dying camp."

"First on the list," Annie answered. "Right above zombies. And seeing as how I won the class on not dying..."

Yes, she was still gloating.
