All Annie wanted was to get into Professor Duncan's social experiment so it'd look good on her transcript, especially as a freshman. It was simple: they brought a bunch of subjects into a room, left them there, and watched to see how long it took them to crack. See, simple.

Her two subjects were Troy and Abed, who, much to Annie's delight, were the last two left. She and the rest of the people involved in the project watched them on video from the other room, Duncan chanting "Breeeeak.... breeeeeeeak," as Troy began biting his lip and rocking back and forth in his seat.

Finally Troy jumped up, yelling at the camera (well, he thought it was just the door) and dropping to his knees, "NO, NO, NO. ANNIE. WHAT IS GOING ON IN THERE? I WASTED ALL DAY HERE FOR YOU. KEY AND PEELE WAS ON TONIGHT. YOU PROMISED-" He broke down in loud, loud sobs, and began literally crawling on his hands, dragging his lower half to the door, like a broke, broken man.

Annie couldn't help but feel bad. After all, she wanted Troy to volunteer to do things for her like that, and she'd made him cry. She guessed she'd just have to explain it to him tomorrow. Maybe with hugs? She'd like the hugs.

"And he's out. We got him," Duncan announced proudly.

Abed, though, was still sitting calmly in the room, exactly as he had been when they first started this experiment earlier today. "Professor, what's with that last guy?" Garrett wondered.

"I've seen this before. The longer they wait, the harder they break," Duncan said, looking back at the rest of the lab. "Buckle up, students."
