Internet Re-branding

Livejournal is dead, or at least dead to me. The corporate overlords decided to put mandatory advertisements on all unpaid accounts; the website's interface and look are out of date, and no one ever updates their blog anymore.

I'm also tired of being annie linux. I feel like Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins when someone asked him how he decided on his band's name. "Well," he said reluctantly, "it seemed like a funny joke." Whenever I exchange e-mail adresses with someone, there is usually some extended, awkward pause, followed by a very poor explanation of why my e-mail adress has some girl's name in it. It usually ends with me saying something like, "you know!? Linux!? The operating system!? ... Did you ever listen to the Eurythmics?"

In conclusion, it's time for a little internet re-branding. I'm going to change my gmail name to something a little less goofy. I'm also going to start a real wordpress blog with my own domain name. Only thing is, fdfisher@gmail.com and forest.fisher@gmail.com and fori@gmail.com are already taken. So you tell me internet peeps; what should be my handle online? It can be cute and a little unprofessional, but it needs to be straightforward and somehow linked to my actual name. ForestDFisher AAT gmail is not taken, but I don't like my middle name and don't really want to use my middle initial. I could also try Fori DOOT Fisher AT gmail but then that may have the same problem as annie-linux, not everyone knows me as Fori. Still, I like Fori. It's my cute childhood name, and it feels personal, which is more than I could say for annie-linux. Fori DOT Fisher is kinda annoying though; my nick-names shouldn't come attached to last names. They're supposed to stand on their own.
