Ok, here are the finalist titles for my blog. Turns out that machinesoul.com, technotown.com, technocity.com, futuresound.com, cyborgsong.com and so on are already owned domain names. So...I'm thinking one of the following five names:
* Alleys of Your Mind - Name of the first ever techno track. I kinda like it's esotericness and I think the phrase's solipsism makes it a good title for any blog.
* No UFO's - Also a famous, early techno track. This one is just kinda cool sounding.
* Automated Soul - Sorta reminds me of the automotive assembly lines and yet is also sort robotic and it has that soul part to it too with the double meaning (soul music v.s. the soul of a person)
* Techno Rebels - There was actually already a blog named this, but it was run through myspace and is now debunk. The title comes from a phrase in Alvin Toffler's futurist book, The Third Wave, which has been sometimes credited as influencing the ideas of early techno artists.
* Third Wave - This is the exact title of Toffler's Book (minus 'the' at the beginning.) The Third Wave would be ideal, but that domain name is already taken. Still...it's a fitting title.
Right now, I'm leaning strongly towards Alleys of Your Mind. I'm thinking it could be accompanied by this quote at the top of the page:
"Music is prophecy: its styles and economic organisation are ahead of the rest of society because it explores, much faster than material reality can, the entire range of possibilities in a given code. It makes audible the new world that will gradually become visible." --Jacques Atalli: Noise (1977)
What do you all think?
