It's been almost a year since I started writing Like A Rusty Broken Thing. 28 chapters, 2 ficlets, and 65,059 words later.... and the end of this story is in sight. Over the last year I've been asked lots of questions about this storyline, this world, and these characters. I thought I'd take a moment to talk about this universe that lives in

I really hope that after all your research or all your creativity of the Were world you decide to revisit this AU again. It seems a shame to waste all this accumulated knowledge.
Let's face it. After hearing in this story how David lost his unborn child I am jonesy-ing (is that a word) for David to have an offspring. How? no idea? Maybe he and Michael could adopt a feral child. haha

After I finish this series I plan to go back and finish 'Roses and Cyanide' as the first order of business.

It has been a long time since I've commented..and I apologize. But I have been here reading all along. Hell I could NEVER give this up. NEVER!
It makes me sad to hear that this story is coming to a close:( I have loved the whole concept since day 1. That you have come up with this whole race of Weres and the Hierarchy and how it works is amazing!
Thank you for explaining everything in detail. It gives me such a better understanding of events that occur. Why Dave and Neal are the way they are. And Andy ( who I FLOVE here)I would really love to see a little more insight as to the reason Dave cares so much about Michaels feelings ( and Carries before him) What makes his mindset so different. Why he and Neal were brought up against type..
I can and can't wait for the day when Michael finally lets David know that he wants him, on his own, regardless of the whole slave/master dynamic. That will be absolutely AMAZING! Both of them with no walls ( real or imaginary) between them.
Love this so much..you rock..HARDCORE!

I've thought about so many off-shoots of this main storyline that I could do. I've considered Andy and Neal's POV mainly, but I've also thought about going back in time and writing the story of Neal and David as children; how they were raised, details about their parents, that sort of thing.
I don't know that I'll ever write any of it, but the entire thing is so clear in my mind. I wish you could crawl in here and see it for yourself :)
