Well I'm back at home for a couple of days because orientation for Applebees, PS yes I got the job, isn't for another 2 weeks and I can do absolutely nothing here just as easily as I can do absolutely nothing in Kzoo, so I might as well visit with the parentals. However, I hate that there is now a Meijer next to Alpine. I hate that there is a neighborhood with no trees and a Walgreens in my front yard where there used to be a golf course. I hate that my old high school looks like an airport and is divided up into "pods". I hate that the playground of my elementary school is now just a third of the size it was when I used to play there at just a third of my size. I mean really, do we need a lego-land development in every available open space? Are there people who say "Oh yes, another Walgreens, the three CVS stores and two Rite Aids that already exist within a two mile radius of my house weren't enough!"? If I wanted to live in an overdeveloped square without trees or lakes with three different convenience stores on every corner I would have moved to Troy.
