I was assuming, perhaps wrongly, that Certy's head was transplanted on the body of the stalker character. Would this mean that the head was later taking back off or are the animators playing around with the timeline?

Certy's head was kept by Namie at Yagiri Pharmaceuticals. The stalker character simply had a plastic surgery (operated by Shinra) to make her look like Certy's head.

Ryōgo Narita is a freaking master at creating intriguing characters, isn't he? I was sure I'd dislike Shingen, but it turns out he's a pretty cool guy. Oh, and I want 4th episode even more to see Shinra's 'twisted personality' with my own eyes.

So true. Narita's characters always turn out so persistently top-notch even if I willed myself to hate them at first sight.

I'll probably stick to just doing the timeline and short scenes after this. Which means less Izaya. lol.
