Well, I knew that, but it's the phrasing that throws me. It's like 'wait, why does she care that Kida was hurt?'

Yeah, this is my WTF!face. I'm loving this twist, though -- it's fascinating, and Mika's definitely shot the hell up in my list of enjoyable characters. Oh man.

Just when you think you've got a handle on the twists in this series, Narita throws you a curveball. Fuck yeah.
