...No, actually, a Japanese being able to speak Russian at 23 doesn't make sense at all. You got a much better shot with Chinese.

But then Izaya doesn't make sense so I consider that solved.

You know, I'm Russian, and I know heaps of Jap. folks, but only 2 of the whole bunch are in a way interested in Russia. Others can try to speak English at most.

So yeha, it's just because IZaya doesn't make any sense himself xDD

And btw, remember those two girls that asked Simon for direction in one of the episodes? Their accent was so fake. And Simon doesn't speak normal Russian too. They have very clear foreign accents.

It reminds me of Darker Than Black: Tyuusei no Gemini, when they tried to sound and look Russian too, but epicly failed.

I love DRRR, but it's sad that they don't pay much attention to how close they depict foreign culture.

On a random note: thank you very much for your translations! After reading them I've grown to like Shizuo a thousand times more, than I already did. He's definitely my favourite. And in top 3 of my most favourite chars in general :3

Is there just a remark that he's talking in Russian or his speech is actually written in Russian and then translated?
I remember his dialogue with the girls in anime in quite funny Russian, that's why I am curious about that.
