the bar is called Saloon, it's in North Beach (1232 Grant Avenue) and is one of the oldest bars in SF. they have blues live music every day and most of the time it's free.

check out Amnesia (www.amnesiathebar.com) on Wed, they have a really cool gypsy band, some dancers go there and SWIG on Sun nights has live jazz, dancing and nice atmosphere, although it's in Tenderloin (www.swigbar.com).
