Interesting times
Major earthquake in China yesterday. Awesome meteor over the middle United States last night. Major volcanic ash cloud covering Europe today.
If I were into conspiracies and End Times, I'd probably have worked myself into a full lather by now.
Fortunately, I am not so gullible. Which gives me the chance to be amused by those who are.
I heard my first 'the world will end in 2012 because the Mayans said so' reference on my favorite radio show this morning. Some lunkhead called in and posited that claim and expected support.
Naturally, he was roundly and soundly mocked. As he should be.
I was amused. This might very well be the last time I am amused by this, since as the date gets closer I will hear more and more panicked idiots making ridiculous assertions that the world is about to end. And that will get damned annoying after a while.
But for now: amusement.
