Max said "Happy Birthday Momma!" about 50 times in the morning before I left.
Work was busy and friendly. Groundhog's Day (the 2nd) a few of us went to lunch at
Guiseppe's.
I left work early Friday to go pick up my gift from the B-Day fairy at
Knitting Sisters! Carol and Kat looked at baby pix and helped me fix what was turning into a hat too large for any normal human, much less the baby for whom it is intended.
I came home to a mailbox (e- and snail) full of happy wishes, and sweet b-day presents from the Skove boys. A little alarmed when Ben said "This one will remind you of Vegas!" I asked, "Should I open it in front of...?!" But ha, it was just soap that smelled like the Four Seasons! Also from Grandma Janet--
shimmering pink, pink parfait, petal, pink kiss, nectar, berry ice, blue sphere, fizzy pear, and "beige!" Mom (aka the Birthday Fairy) called. The word from my spies (thankyou!) is that she's doing very well, in case you are wondering!
We packed Max up and sent him to Cloverbud camp! He pulled his tooth out on the way there. He was psyched to be in the same cabin as Henry. The other kids will not be able to get a word in edgewise. It will be a nice reality check for the counselors--best birth control ever!
We ate at
Pisces, which was more kid-friendly than it looked (although they don't have high chairs or booster seats--that's OK, we didn't need one). Alex charmed the hostess.
Plenty of things at home to dip in chocolate but I fell asleep! (Well somebody had to drink all that
wine!) That's OK though because I prefer stale marshmellows.
