(May 1996)
We picked up more hitchhikers, Keith and Mary. They were on their way to Roseau, on the other side of the island. We were going nowhere in particular, so we took them all the way.
On the way we went to "
Tete Chien" (head of the *snake* not dog, for some reason?) and
Emerald Pool. The Emerald Pool was milky from construction. Keith showed us around both places -- he used to be a guide, and now did various part-time work.
He was the most inquisitive, talkative person we'd met. He told us all about Dominica, and wanted to know all about the US. He knew all about politics, not only in Dominica (everyone here is very politically active) but a lot about the US, too.
