gabolange! You have brought awesome fic, meta, and squee to our little corner of fandom and I find myself very thankful the stupid cute OTP caught your eye. :)
I finally caved and watched Once and boy am I glad I did. Now I am obsessed with the soundtrack and have listened to it over and over and over the last few days, which has had the added bonus of sparking my muse on a fic project I've been planning on getting to but so far had not. So yay for that! (Track 6, 'All The Way Down' is my particular favorite at the moment.)
On other music fronts, I am unashamed of my Pop music proclivities. (Yes, I own every single Britney Spears album. Go ahead, mock me. ;) But even American Idol is a bit much for me usually. I started watching it this season mostly out of lack of anything else to watch during the strike, but I have been pulled in, and not by the campiness for once. It's all about one man: David Cook. He uses brilliant arrangements week after week, completely reinventing songs and he does this thing, when he's singing into the microphone, where he sort of looks up at the camera with a half smirk and it just does things to me. So, yes, I'm a fangirl. Nothing new. But hey, anyone who can turn a Mariah Carey song into a rock anthem? They have just got to be cool. (And Brooke, please pull it together because I want to be able to buy an album by you someday!!)
