Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit! (i.e. Happy February!)

Well, time to fill this unsightly empty space with something! I am a recent convert who was silly enough to get a blog before she realized that everyone knows LJ is just that much cooler. :) Just goes to show that I have so much left to learn.

Here's just a quick sketch of my life these days:

Last Fic I Read: I just re-read SGCBearcub's 'Monkey Screaming' for the umpteenth time. And I am now officially on the look out for any good Vala fic, no matter how much backlash I might get for that. :p

Fic I'm Working On: Well, I'm am still pounding out the last few bits of 'Exodus' and hope to have them done very soon. (I know, after the two month hiatus on that particular fic, I am sure that is hard to believe.) And then I am hoping to be struck by inspiration to write my first ever SGA fic in honor of dear mtmontage's birthday. *fingers crossed*

Last Movie I Watched: Just finished a triple marathon of 'The Girl in the Cafe,' 'Dear Frankie,' and 'The Island.'   The Island was better than I would have imagined (Ewan...yummy), even though it still felt like two movies roughly patched together and went a little overboard on the car chases/crashes/bullets flying, if you ask me. But very interesting ideas, and that's really what I like in my films.  'Dear Frankie' was sweet and heartwarming and everything you would expect.  But nothing life altering.  Little kid acted the hell out of it, though.  'The Girl in the Cafe' nearly killed me.  Bill Nighy (who I actually didn't keep thinking, Victor!  Victor!, amazingly enough) is painfully loveable awkward man who you just want to take home and convince him you understand.  And I just love the actress whose name is currently escaping me.  Kelly MacDonald?  So painful and so sweet and man...  Worth a watch, even with the depressing statistics about extreme poverty in the world (which we really do need to know about, as unpleasant as it is to acknowledge).

Music I Can't Live Without:  Well, this week I am going crazy over Damien Rice's O, Death Cab for Cutie's Transatlanticism, and my continued obsession with The Postal Service's Give Up.

Well, that was probably more than you ever wanted to know about me, but there it is.  :)

Have a lovely day.
