Watching S.H.I.E.L.D. reminds me a lot of watching Stargate Universe back in the day. You want to like it so bad, its part of a larger awesome franchise, and every once and a while you see these glimmers of what the show could be, but you're still just waiting for that potential to come together into something great. It's kind of wrenching and exhausting and completely inescapable. (I'll never quit you, Coulson.)
