Fall TV: Revenge
Holy goodness. Why did none of you tell me about Revenge? (Or why, if you did, did I not listen?!?)
I am predisposed to love Madeline Stowe, but this is just beyond awesome. And so SATISFYING on some elemental level to see terrible people get hung by their own terrible acts. And the continual theme of the price of revenge, that this isn't just some lark, but that Amanda will pay for every act of revenge she extracts and she knows it. The mood of the episodes (music!), the supreme lengths that Amanda has clearly gone to to set this all up, and things never quite being as they seem. And VICTORIA. The conniving, ice-cold bitch, but with something...just a tiny something underneath that has me sitting on the edge of my seat. Maybe I just like that the men are all cut out characters for once and the women are all the ones with hidden depths and layers. At least for the most part. Just...FUN. (And the pairing possibilities. Don't even get me started.)
