postcards from the edge
Apparently Sam took Vala up on her offer of a nice sunny break down in Santa Barbara. Though things seem to not be going quite as planned, to judge by the postcard that just showed up in my mailbox.
Dear Daniel-
I am not sure what Sam has told you, but it is all lies. We have been perfectly behaved this whole time, and have not done anything that deserved arrest. At least, I haven't. Now that I think about it, Sam did go off by herself a couple of days ago. She said she went for a walk because I was driving her crazy, but she probably robbed a bank or something. It's a pretty flimsy excuse--as if I could ever be annoying! Anyway, if you can send us bail... I'll see you soon!
