It's fabulous, chica. Lots of angsty and meaningful looks, and Hammond bending the rules, and Teal'c and Sam striking up a friendship, and the perfect mix of stupid cute.

And Janet with her dire threats!

And Sha're refusing to be left behind!

And Kawalski not being goa'ulded and then stealing Jack's team! bwa ha ha!

Total win.

Heh. It's possible this is too long or just too indulgent to get through. Lol. I am just glad to have it done and out there after so damn long stressing over it. Now there's some room in my head for other sequels I am not going to write. ;)

*snorts* Right. When people wade through 100+ chapters of epic fic about their OTP picking out curtains? Trust me, you're nowhere near indulgent enough to scare people away. :-)

Hee! Thanks! Somehow this fic turned into a rather indulgent 'how I wish it had gone' fic. I mean, it was also fun to think how one tiny little stone in the pond would change everything, getting further and further from canon as the characters were exposed to different pressures. Phew. So glad to finally have this beast done and posted. :)

Ditto! (I'm now 40 min. past my bedtime). I love Children of the Gods and this is a fascinating alternate view of that.

What a fantastic AU.

The concept of Jack, Daniel and Sha're on a team though is just so interesting.

I sure hope we get more in this AU.

Nice touch that Teal'c gave Jack the dog tags of the female airman who was taken.

Loved the blend of humor, romance, angst, the purple trees remark ... just wonderful.

I think Sha're must already be an okay shot, but I bet she could get scary good. Especially when she'll spend most of her time off world keeping Daniel from getting blown up while he's distracted. Someone should write that. You know, someone who is not me. Lol.
