Wow! I cannot get over how good this is. The way you write Mal and the crew is spot on. Especially River, post-Serenity, and the way she reads the crew and the visitors and the way she and Mal have that special bond kinda deal. I love this Sam! All the survival-induced badassery is awesome. And at the end with River explaining how the crew has grown with Sam, Jack, Daniel, and Vala and how all the interactions work. I particularly like how Sam and Mal fight...but just for the sport of it...mostly. Great job! You never cease to write these characters with perfection!
