I've enjoyed the episodes I've seen. Reminds me of Mission: Impossible (the series) and the movie "Sneakers" (Robert Redford, Sidney Poitier, pre-BSG Mary McDonnell, David Straithairn and Dan Ackroyd).

Looking ahead to the episodes "The Mile High Job", the synopsis sounds a little like an episode earlier this season on "Eleventh Hour".

Tim Hutton almost always is worth watching. I like the combination of quirky characters a LOT.

Yes, I think that's it. It's the quirkiness of them that I just LOVE. They all completely think that all the others are nuts, but are cool with that. Plus, I have always had a soft spot for the socially awkward, says whatever she is thinking characters, so that makes Parker of the win in my book.

Yes, see I think this is why, while I like "Cold Case", I haven't really clicked with the actors/characters. I like them "okay", but I don't have a strong reaction to them, positive or negative. They're troubled and such, but except for the uncouth heavyset guy, I just don't find them, um... non-homogeneous. They're troubled, but just...average. Nothing *really* sets them apart from regular people, which may be the intention so many people relate. I know cops don't have a great track record with relationships but no one on Cold Case seems capable of a proper relationship.

Thinking about how much crime drama there is out there, it's like "Cold Case" is 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream and 1 scoup of a fun flavor (the whole cold case premise and how they flash back and forth) compared to one of those huge Farrell's Ice Cream parlor sundaes with 20 differently-flavored scoops.

Leverage is a bowl full of lots of really interesting flavors.

Have to admit, I've never watched Cold Case, and now I'm not feeling inclined. Lol. :)

You see, that's the thing. When it first came on, I watched once, didn't connect and didn't watch any more.

Then a a couple seasons in, I happened to leave it on that channel after something else, and got intrigued by the story. Now I usually DVR it and watch (maybe not full attention and I wouldn't watch repeats).

Leverage is just that much better.
