Lord, deliver me from this room.

Well, Steve and I worked hard today and did the bulk of our moving in preparation of the Coming of Kenny. There's still a lot of random crap in his room, but we've got the desk and computer in here (hence the hideous, unbearable heat). Two computers in one poorly ventilated room... not the most fun ever, but really it's kinda nice to have him in here in body as much as in spirit. Thankfully he let me keep most of the space the way it was, so I still get to surround myself with the useless trinkets and knick-knacks that make me feel so at-home.

Susan's bridal shower and bachelorette party were on Sunday, and with the help of the lovely Emily I was able to go. First off, Sue's place is amazing. She lives out by Galesburg on what I suppose you could call a farm (though her parents aren't career farmers, just hobbyists). The weather was intoxicating, which just amplified the effect of all that space (and it was hilly! hilly Illinois!) and trees and amber waves of grain and wildlife... wildlife! I grew up in the suburbs. Imagine my surprise to look out of their huge picture window and see a bunch of sheep all piled up under a tree. It was really something. Of course, that kind of lifestyle has its downsides too... living a ten minute drive from anything, the hell I can only imagine winter would be, and the sheer amount of work you have to put in to just maintain your property, for a few.

Anyway, enough of me blathering about that. I'm also going to skip three pages of blathering about the whole wedding experience, feelings about the traditions and the ceremonies, blah blah blah... I get emotional about things like that, so it's probably for the best if I abstain. To make a long story short, it was nice. Nice to be around women, nice to see Susan so happy, nice to see a close community, nice to see friends from high school. The wedding should be a truly singular experience, so I really hope that I can make it. Damn this not having a car.

So, what else... I leave for home on Thursday, and then off to Columbus after the weekend. That should be a lot of fun. I love my summer Sarah visits. :) I updated chaoslace; Dragon Cross is up to chapter 11 and there are two new tarot fanarts up. Tomorrow I've gotta go into work and wrap stuff up before my vacation, and in fifteen minutes a new Lupin is on. That said, Steve is home, so I'm off to molest him. Ciao!
