Oh, fanfiction
I've never really been a joiner. Myspace and Facebook have both tried to get me, but I've resisted. Ok, granted, I did sign up for Facebook, but that was only to shut Jeff up, so that's different. I never actually use the account. I am on dA, YT and ff.net, but there were specific reasons to be there. How else am I to get my web-comics, fan-vids and slash-fics? Twitter, too, serves a purpose- how else am I to know every thought that crosses Stephen Colbert's mind?
I was never going to get an LJ, though. What was the point? All it would be is another distraction from that "homework" stuff everyone kept talking about, and anyways I didn't really feel like there was a niche in my life that LJ would fill. Now, you may have noticed that this account is over a year old. See, I got it, if memory serves, to placate a friend, but I've never bothered to use it, so I don't really think I joined so much as signed up.
Then, less than a week ago, I decided that I needed more obscure Star Trek XI slash in my life. I mean sure, Kirk/Spock (or Kock, as I like to call them :D) is great, and sure, throwing McCoy into the mix makes it even better. Sulu/Chekov is awesome too! But, sooner or later, ya gotta have hot, angsty Romulan sex. Yes, after at least 3 or 4 years of seeing no point in joining LJ, I'm joining simply to get my neroayelslash on. Hush. It makes sense.
