I haz news!
I am now officially a part of the Sea Shepherd Germany translation team!
This has been a work in progress for the last couple of weeks and I've been angsting over a hundred things until I...
a) had the courage to ask if they needed translators
b) took the step to apply
c) made all the steps of applying and talking to the guys in charge of stuff
d) translated a text for them to figure out if I was good enough (omg the angst and self-questioning and biting of nails...)
e) signed up and started working
It might not be a big deal for a lot of people but for me it was HUGE. It was almost as much of a big deal as writing/posting my very first SG-1 story in English ten years ago. I am now translating from English to German and I delivered my first two texts and was told it's decent work, so... YAY!
Am looking forward to my very first VTD (Volunteer Training Day)!
