Name: Anne
Age: 50
I mostly post about: Everyday this and that. I'm into Tarot and Oracle (in fact, am starting to create my own :) and other 'woo-woo' things. I might occasionally post about politics (not much, as I'm trying to go on a news/media diet). Just so you know, my political beliefs have moved to the right of center, for the most part. I'm what was called in the olden days a 'moderate'.
My hobbies are: reading, writing, knitting, exercise (working on losing weight/getting into shape), puzzles, old movies (silent, precode, 60s, 70s, early 80s), nature walks, flea marketing / yard saleing, old time radio shows. Also, a foodie (hence, the need for exercise, lol).
Music wise, I've been getting into jazz lately (Vince Guraldi especially, he was amazing!), but I also love psychedelic 60s, groovy 70s, some 80s new wave and 90s alternative. I used to be BIG into goth and industrial in my younger days, now not so much (though I still love Bau Haus and the Sisters of Mercy). Also classical like Claude De Bussey, Erik Satie.
Books: Sonia Choquette, Alana Fairchild, Silver Ravenwolf, D.J. Conway, Jane Roberts, Sanaya Roman, Al G. Manning, etc. Vintage gothics from the 60s and 70s, L.M. Montgomery, Betty Smith, Thomas Tryon, Edgar Alan Poe, Elizabeth Berg.
My fandoms are: No longer into fandom; I was in smaller fandoms way back when (2007-2012) but tended to avoid the bigger fandoms because they just seemed really toxic.
I'm looking to meet people who: are basically good people I can chat with, potential 'kindred spirits'. Other Gen-Xers would be nice. Political moderates/conservatives would be a plus! (Genuinely curious if there are any here?).
My posting schedule tends to be: My goal is to post every day, or at least a couple of times per week.
When I add people, my dealbreakers are: No journals that are NSFW (sorry, not interested in people's sex lives). No minors, please.
Before adding me, you should know: As noted above, I may not post much about politics, but I am definitely not a liberal. Just wanted to put that out there, since LJ is predominately left. I do like George Carlin's assessment of politics, though:
