Yes, a farm is definitely a workplace.
I can confirm that because I work for a farmers organisation in Australia and they are all covered by legislation about working conditions (as well as other stuff like environmental laws and heritage laws - whoever thought the modern farmer's job was all just lazing away having the machines do it all?) *twinkle*

USA-centric?
You should try singing 'Jingle bells' during December in Australia. All TV programs at this time of year involve imagery of snow, when it's more likely to be 40C outside!
Thirty years on and it still makes my head explode!

Rolf Harris has a lot to answer for ...
And the weird thing is, he was born here in Perth WA not that far from where I live - long gone to London though *G*

The night my family arrived 'on Australia', Darwin the capital of the Northern Territory blew away. As a result I always see Santa's Aussie elves as wearing bright orange jump suits and working with the emergency services *wry grin*

Strange are the first impressions of a new country!

I do too.
This summer Rolf is on TV here, either encouraging others to paint portraits or painting the Queen (y'know, yours and ours and the Brits *evil grin of lessé majesty*)

I think he is a much better artist/portraitist than he ever was an entertainer, but he can be entertaining ... teacher training will out!
