So these are the characters I picked, who are all from books and/or movies:
01 Harry Potter (no explanation needed, amirite?)
02 Kay Scarpetta, M.D. (heroine of Patricia Cornwell's book series)
03 Sgt. Jim Chee (the younger detective in Tony Hillerman's Navajo mysteries, played once by Adam Beach)
04 Hermione Granger
05 Lord Peter Wimsey (Dorothy L. Sayers' highbrow British detective of the 1930s)
06 Lyra Bellacqua (Silvertongue)
07 Mrs. Coulter
08 Ron Weasley
09 Lt. Joe Leaphorn (the older detective in Hillerman's books)
10 Matt Cruse (male lead in Kenneth Oppel's AIRBORN)
11 Detective Pete Marino (from the Scarpetta series)
12 Peter Pettigrew
13 Kate de Vries (female lead in AIRBORN)
14 Harriet Vane (Lord Peter's detecting colleague and eventual love interest)
15 Mattie Ross (heroine of True Grit)

#4, Y U No dye your hair black?
LOL you sound like my kid, who is heavy into the Y U No stuff:)) But to answer your question: Because she's Hermione and her hair is and always will be BROWN, thank you. Plus she wouldn't want to confuse Ron; he might think she's Harry's sister.
Who would you be more likely to defend in a forum- 9 or 11?
I would be more likely to defend Lt. Joe Leaphorn (from Tony Hillerman's Navajo mysteries) than
Detective Pete Marino (from Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta series) because Leaphorn is a less
complicated character and, frankly, much more likeable. Marino is just a ball of insecurities and problems, and he ends up causing problems for his boss (Kay Scarpetta) almost as often as he helps.
What vegetable does #6 remind you of?
Lyra Bellacqua does not seem vegetabley to me. Sorry :( You got any ideas?
Please picture character 2 for a few minutes, then turn on your radio (or a music randomizer) and put them in a music video of the song. Tell me watcha see?
Kay Scarpetta (2) does not practice SANTERIA (Sublime). In fact, anything to do with voodoo creeps her out. So she's in a dream where she's somehow in a Santeria ceremony, and she's tied to a chair and made to watch whatever is going on. And the whole time she's trying to figure out whether one of the santeria priests killed the victim she just autopsied in the Dade County (Miami) morgue.
Please tell me about 1 and 7 in a candy store.
Mrs. Coulter (7) would probably buy Harry Potter (1) some candy then kidnap him.
*Lowers voice* Anything kkkkinky you wanna tell me about #8?
Ron Weasley likes to be tied up with Gryffindor scarves.
Fanservice for 15! Show me it! (words, no pics)
How much do I love Mattie Ross? She's smart, precocious, fierce, tenacious and brave as all get out. She made better men out of both Rooster Cogburn and Ranger LeBoeuf, and she lived to tell the tale of how she got revenge on Tom Chaney for killing her pa.
Want me to draw #'s 12 and 9 in a sssssexy seituation involving collars?
I have no idea how very straight, elderly Lt. Joe Leaphorn (9) would end up in a sexy situation involving collars with the uber-creepy (no, he's NOT misunderstood!) Peter Pettigrew (12). Go for it...
Questions from
nmalfoy :
What kind of tree would 7 be?
One that's gorgeous on the outside and rotten on the inside. (Mrs. Coulter)
Does 11 have any law enforcement aspirations?
Law enforcement is his life (Pete Marino). He's been a beat cop in New Jersey and Richmond, VA; a detective on the Richmond PD; and a security consultant in Miami.
What are 9's thoughts on birth control?
He thinks it's fine for other people. Unfortunate he (Lt. Joe Leaphorn) and his late wife, Emma, were never able to have any children so for them it was a moot point.
Would 6 ever consider becoming a furry?
A furry? I don't think so, even though Lyra Bellacqua has been to many worlds and interacted with some amazing creatures.
Write a drabble featuring 3, 15, and 12.
"So you are going to help me, Sergeant?" Mattie asked.
"I'm not sure," Jim Chee told the girl, who wore the kind of dress he'd seen in old photos of white settlers. He wasn't exactly sure how he was supposed to find this Peter Pettigrew. "You say he's short and resembles a rat?"
"No, sir, I am saying he is a rat. Least he was when he ran off. I know it sounds crazy, sir, but that is the God's honest truth. One minute he was human, then poof! His clothes were empty and a rat ran out of them."
Chee shuddered. "This man Pettigrew is a skinwalker. A shapeshifter. Yee naaldlooshii, in the Navajo language. He carries bad magic. But I’m a yataalii, sort of like a priest. And I’m a cop. So I guess if anyone should be chasing after him, it’s me.”
Mattie grinned. “Thank you, Sergeant Chee. I knew I had not overestimated you. I need someone with true grit, and I know you will not fail me.”
Who is 1's favorite clothing designer?
Harry Potter doesn't care much about clothes, as long as it fits and Dudley didn't wear it first. So I'd say Little Whinging thrift shops.
Does 2 have a shoe fetish?
Yes, somewhat. Even though she's on her feet a lot, doing autopsies and helping to track (or evade) criminals, Dr. Kay Scarpetta loves elegant, simple pumps, like Cole Haan. I think she owns at least 40 pairs of shoes. You will never catch her in UGG boots. Also, despite what I
saw online, Kay Scarpetta looks nothing like Angelina Jolie.
Would 4 be a good parent or one that eats their young?
Hermione Granger would be a fantastic parent. Preferably not of Ron Weasley's kids :D
5 is in a grocery store surrounded by zombies. What do they do?
Lord Peter Wimsey, surrounded by zombies in a grocery store, would pull out his cigarette holder, light a smoke, and stab the zombies in the face with the lit end.
Questions from
call_me_ps :
If 2 and 10 met in a duel, who would win?
Matt Cruse (10) is young, quick and resourceful, but Kay Scarpetta (2) has a lot more experience handling a gun. So I'll go with my favorite forensic pathologist.
Between 12 and 7, which would you rather have with you if you were committing a crime?
Well, Peter Pettigrew (12) is more weak than evil, IMO. Mrs. Coulter (7) is just plain evil, though she looks very nice. Pettigrew, however, can probably get into more places discreetly than Mrs. Coulter (who usually makes an entrance and causes a sensation), so I guess I'll pick him.
