TGIF and random stuff
1. Holy crap, am I glad it's Friday. It's been a looooooooooooooooong week.
2. DOLLHOUSE season finale tonight!! It had better not be a "series" finale, hear that, Fox? *stares* According to the online blurb at TV.com, "one Active gets permanently decommissioned." o_O *frets*
3. Our weather is very nice right now. Today's high temp will be in the low-to-mid 70s. There are some clouds but not of the rain/thunderstorm variety, just some normal cumulous clouds.
4. Following on #3, it is really and truly spring. Finally. The apple trees are blooming (and I love that scent!), the grass is green and apparently growing, and there are tulips and daffodils everywhere. YAY!
5. Mr. Annearchy and I (not "myself" :) had dinner at Olive Garden last night. We had a $25 gift card so I didn't feel compelled to order one of the cheaper things on the menu. I had Pork Filettino ("Grilled pork tenderloin marinated in extra-virgin olive oil and rosemary. Served with Tuscan potatoes and bell peppers") and he had Shrimp & Asparagus Risotto ("Large sautéed shrimp served over creamy parmesan risotto with asparagus") (descriptions per Olive Garden online menu). Nom nom nom. Too bad we were too full for dessert; we even took half of the pork tenderloin home, and I cut up some of it for my lunch salad today.
6. Yesterday I took a long walk at lunch-time with one of my co-workers. He showed me a couple of his favorite places to chill out on the nearby lakeshore, and noted a few streets where he parks his car for free (with no 2-hour limit!) and then walks to work. I might try the chillout places and the free parking some time.
7. Why do some people have to douse themselves with cologne/perfume all the time? I've taken the bus to work the past two days, and both mornings my olfactory nerve has been assaulted by my seatmate. In fact, yesterday when the first stinker got off the bus, another one took her place. Gah. Have some compassion, people. Some of us can't tolerate all those smells.
8. Thought for today:
When all of this is over, I'm going to have a nervous breakdown. I've worked hard for it, I deserve it, and no one is going to deprive me of it.
