1. Spring? Maybe. I hope very soon. It's 58F with a mostly sunny sky today. The only snow left on the ground is the "dead" sort, you know - old snow that's frozen, usually in a shady area, and probably won't melt completely until May :)) I brought my boots home from work Friday and I'm wearing plain old walking shoes now. No need to worry about ice, so yay. Of course I don't think we're totally out of the woods yet; we usually get at least one big, wet snowfall toward the end of March. But winter can leave RIGHT NOW and it wouldn't bother me a bit. I must add a spring icon soon.

2. Disbarment Sought for Former Speaker - Boston Globe
The state Board of Bar Overseers recommended that former House Speaker Thomas M. Finneran be disbarred because of his false testimony in a 2003 redistricting lawsuit. Finneran, a Democrat who is now a radio talk show host, pleaded guilty to federal charges of obstruction of justice and sought a pardon from President Bush.

I initially read that headline as "Dismemberment sought"... I mean, no matter how corrupt a politician is, I would stop way short of seeking dismemberment. Probably :P

weird news, weather
