Hello again...
1. Got busy the past few days, mostly just RPing, doing a very small amount of housework, running errands and watching silly movies like Ginger Snaps Unleashed on SciFi and Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle on Comedy Central. I think I'll have to watch more CC movies; I always get a laugh there (e.g. Dude, Where's My Car? on New Year's Day). Not to mention CC has Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Q.E.D.
2. I guess we're supposed to get up to another 12 inches of snow this week, AND the temperature's going down into the deep freeze, below 0F. So...*headdesk* I did prepare for this somewhat; I bought a pair of Wigwam wool-blend socks ("good to -40F") and "Gobi" liners at Dick's Sporting Goods. Let's hope they work; my boots aren't all that warm.
3. Heard on NPR this morning: The American Dialect Society has declared the 2008 word of the year: Bailout. Among the runners up were maverick, credit crunch and the ever-popular "change". Also, variations on "Obama-" were high on the list too. Speaking of whom, only 8 days, 4 hours and 25 minutes until Obama takes the oath. Not that I'm counting. (Don't let the door hit ya on the way out, Dubya.)
