1. Hello my lovelies! How is your Friday going? Anything interesting shakin' in your spot on the globe? (I refuse to say "in your corner of the world, because that would assume the world has corners and points :P

2. Today at lunch time I took a short walk around the Capitol square. Halfway round I realised I was across from the State Historical Museum, and I remembered there was an exhibit about Wisconsin in the World Series that I hadn't seen yet. So I went in and took a brief stroll through the exhibit, which was very interesting for any baseball fan, especially one like me, who remembers the Milwaukee Brewers playing in the 1982 World Series. Probably half of the exhibit was devoted to the 1957 Milwaukee Braves, the forerunner of the current Atlanta Braves. The Milwaukee Braves won the 1957 World Series, so the exhibit celebrated the Braves' win 50 years ago and the Brewers' appearance 25 years ago. Anyway the gift shop had some interesting items related to the baseball exhibit, and I ended up buying a couple of Christmas presents: a DVD about the 1957 Braves for my father-in-law and 2 sets of 1957 Braves baseball cards for Mr. Annearchy. So SSHHHHHH. Don't tell them :)

3. Here's an unintentionally hilarious trip in the Wayback Machine: Scenes from a 1977 J.C. Penney catalog, complete with some hilarious 2007 commentary. I remember those "fashions" (to use the word lightly) and all I can say is, what drugs were these designers on????!?!?

4. I swear all the stoopid jackhammering above my cubicle yesterday got my body all wacked out last night. When I was lying in bed trying to get to sleep I could feel my throat going into spasms. It does this now and then and I think it was probably a panic attack, which doesn't surprise me given how freaking loud the jackhammering was. Anyway between half a 0.5 mg Xanax and a 25 mg benadryl, I did finally get to sleep. Gah.
