No, that's not a comment on Pirates 3. Just a general comment on everything right now.
1. Darling daughter is home sick AGAIN. Her attendance this year has been something like 85%, which means she misses about 1 day out of every 6 *headdesk* I can't remember a 3-week stretch this year when she didn't miss a day of school :( Last night we rode our bikes over to her future middle school, which is about 2-2.5 miles from here. On the way back she jumped off her bike and started writhing as though in pain, but wouldn't tell me what hurt. When we got home she finally said she had a blinding headache and felt nauseous. She managed to sleep okay but this morning she threw up and still had the headache, so I kept her home (Dad's there with her). SO, dunno what's up with that but I hope she's better tomorrow. She's always got lots of weird little stuff wrong with her. Maybe she can tell the pediatric endocrinologist about that when she visits him in July.
2. Darling daughter's grandparents in Florida want her to come visit them for a week in early August. Of course it's my job to arrange the transportation, and because she's under 17 I have to CALL SOMEONE AT AN AIRLINE rather than buying tickets online. Grrr. I can't stand talking to sales people on the phone. Grandparents found some flights on American that were $600 plus $150 service fee for "unaccompanied minor"; we're splitting the cost with them so I'd like to find something less expensive. So I need to do that, because of course as THE MOM it's my job to do all that (as well as getting all her forms and *growls*
3. Political Rant: Honestly. DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP - WTF do you think the people elected y'all to do last fall?? END THE DAMN WAR. I feel like Howard whatshisname in the movie Network: I'm mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take it any more!11!! Right now I'm saying I won't vote for a candidate who votes in favor of this bill. Al Gore, please get into the race, we need you sooo badly. But without Al? Right now this just makes me lean towards Edwards even more.
4. Phone at work has rung like 6 times the past 30 minutes. *GLARES* God, I hate telephones.
