Birthday greetings and more

2. We joined the nearby YMCA on Thursday evening, and Maya has already gone there 3 times (Thursday night and Friday night with me, and yesterday with AP and her mom). I'm not really a swimmer (never really learned how) so I'm not really interested in going swimming every dang day like Maya is. Alas, Maya is too young to use anything but the pool and the gymnasium, where the only thing she can do is shoot baskets. So if I'm in the exercise room, using the machines, Maya has to use either the gym or the pool, and she can only go in the pool if it's open swim OR if it's family swim time (but only with a family member during FS). ARRRGH. I need to check the schedule to see what's open this afternoon. I just washed my hair this morning, so I really do NOT want to go swimming today. I need to find out when the kids' swimming lessons start again. I could take her to swimming lessons at 7:00 p.m. Mondays AND attend a water-aerobics class at the same time, depending on which week the lessons start. I also need to get oriented to the exercise room; I don't know how to use any of the machines other than the treadmills and the rowing machine :(
3. It's a beautiful day here. I ought to be doing something outside, like riding my bike. Alas, Mr. Annearchy (as usual) is too busy with his business, and Maya (see #2, above) has decided that any form of exercise that doesn't take place at the Y is "boring". *headdesk*
