The dinner party is over. All hail the dinner party. Everything went very well, so I guess it was worth the 57415870 hours we spent cleaning the public areas of the house the past few days, and the 2 1/2 hours I spent making the lasagna today. Thanks to everyone who offered lasagna recipes; I kind of borrowed from several of them and the lasagna turned out fantastic :D In addition to lasagna and garlic bread, we had a lovely salad (courtesy of N.S.); a nice appetizer featuring crackers and artichoke dip, courtesy of A.N.; and two fabulous pies (chocolate cream and key lime), courtesy of B.R. and K.R. We also had 3 bottles of wine with dinner (okay, we drank half of each bottle), plus a choice of tea or decaf hazelnut coffee with dessert. Folks started arriving at 6:00 p.m. and we didn't manage to chase them out until 10:00!! So I guess everyone had a great time. Our next gathering is Sunday, April 2nd, at a Pedro's Mexican restaurant on the west side of town (since NS says that her apt. is "unvisitable" ;) I'm just glad I don't have to do this again until maybe next November, when we'll be in a new dinner circle with different people.
Note to
tome_raider,
miriellegrey and
lierian: I can feel myself going into a major Fibro Flare thanks to all the cleaning etc. Bugger.
And now to see whether my flist is at skip=500.
