My paid account on LJ expires soon. Is it still true that basic accounts only have six icons (and does it count if you have any ~loyalty icons~ or whatever), and can you not expand comments? Or did they change that recently? (I don't trust the FAQ to be up-to-date)

Not sure about the loyalty icons, but you can totally expand the comments. It's no big thing. :)

Doh, I forgot to ask about post/comment tracking. Do you know about that for basic?

I'm on basic, and I have the track this option, so I'm assuming it works. Honestly, I don't really utilize this feature. It looks like it's there, though! :)

I think you can track the larger post comment, but cannot track individual comment underneath. For example, you can track page 6 of the kink meme, but cannot track individual threads. Though I'm not 100% on that.

Looks like you're right -- it reverted to basic, I went to plus, and while only the "comments on" threads are still actively being tracked, the "comments under" threads are still linked in Manage Settings, so even if I don't get notifications I can still go to the links themselves.
