Pray for understanding
Below are lyrics from a Jason Upton song that I was listening to today as I was spending time with the Lord. It really stood out to me. I think that sometimes we are so busy talking in prayer and praying our own "stuff" that we never really hear God. We are so busy asking God to bless our agendas that we never take the time to wait...however long waiting might be to hear whats important...whats on HIS heart. What is He feeling at the moment? What is He asking for? Where is there a need that needs to be met? maybe we would have more encounters like Isaih who was caught up in the spirit before the throneroom of God. Once He saw the Lord seated upon high, he forgot all about all of his agenda and was faced with GOD. He heard "who will go for me, who can I send?" Then Isaihs agenda got on track and he was able to be used of the lord in partnering with Him to unlock His kingdom. He has a plan all layed out and now He is looking for people who are on their knees LISTENING so that they can UNDERSTAND what it is that the Lord is desiring to do in the Land so that He can return. It is like in Matthew 16 where Jesus says, "ye can discern the face of sky but ye cannot discern the signs of the times." What is God doing right now in the kingdom? We can know if we will engage in intimacy with Him. He desires to share the mysteries of His heart with His people. John 14:24 says that he desire that we would be with Him, that means He wants to have a people who understand, who are on the same page. The minute that Daniel set his heart to understand the Lord granted him that desire abundantly and wants to do that for us. But He is looking for those who He can TRUST with His heart. Who can He trust with his plans? In Daniel, much is revealed to him abou the end times, however the Lord told Daniel not to be troubles with all of the revelation bc he would not see those times however when the time was ready He would begin releasing revelation. Daniel 12:10 says "many shall be PURIFIED and made white and TRIED but the wicked shall do wickedly and none of the wicked shall understand but the wise shall understand." The Lord said that He was coming back for a bride without spot or wrinkle, this must be in order before He can return, therefore like Daniel proclaimed there will be a time of purifying, sifting, and preparation for the bride so that His word can be fulfilled. We must submit to the preparation process there is no other way.
